8 ounce elbow macaroni
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1 large clove garlic, minced
1 cup 2% low-fat milk
1/2 cup reduced-fat cottage cheese
- Pinch of ground black pepper
1/2 cup (2 oz) finely shredded Cheddar cheese

Preparation
1 Cook the macaroni in a large pot of boiling water according to the package directions.
2 Drain, rinse with hot water and drain again. Transfer to a large bowl.
