1 | cup | (2 oz/60 g) fresh breadcrumbs |
1 | teaspoon | granulated onion |
1/2 | teaspoon | paprika |
1/2 | teaspoon | granulated garlic |
1/4 | teaspoon | dried oregano |
1/4 | teaspoon | dried basil |
- | - | Sea salt to taste |
- | - | Freshly ground black pepper to taste |
1/2 | cup | nonfat buttermilk or nonfat plain yogurt |
4 | - | bone-in chicken breasts (about 8 oz/240 g each), skin removed |
Preparation | - Estimated cooking time: 30-60 minutes - |
1 | Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a small baking sheet with cooking spray. |
2 | In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, granulated onion, paprika, granulated garlic, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. |
3 | With a pastry brush or the back of a spoon, "paint" chicken breasts with buttermilk or yogurt. Roll in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture and place on the prepared pan. |
4 | Bake until browned and crisp, about 50 minutes. |
